Blend’s IT team needs an Infrastructure Engineer to plan, build, and maintain our growing cloud infrastructure footprint and lend scripting expertise to other subject matter experts on the team to help with our adoption of DevOps principles. The Infrastructure Engineer will be the subject matter expert on the team for deploying and configuring services using Terraform and Ansible and will manage our AWS services for the team. This position will work closely with our Information Security team to ensure proper hardening across all layers of infrastructure, as well as with individual stakeholders on the IT Operations team that need servers deployed for their projects.

How you'll contribute:

• Design, plan, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure
• Help develop our IaC deployment workflows using Terraform Enterprise and Github
• Assist our sys admins with various projects that require scripting
• Document setups, processes, and configurations as necessary
• Assist team members with various admin tasks across all services we manage

Who you are:

• You are a strong verbal and written communicator in English
• You have strong understanding of AWS:
• You know VPCs, subnetting, and supernetting
• You know the right AMI id for any use case--or at least where to look
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows server administration and configuration
• Familiar and comfortable with a scripting language like Bash or Python
• You have Active Directory architecture and administration experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a heavily regulated industry
• Experience with JAMF, Okta, Zoom, G Suite, Meraki, Atlassian, and Zendesk
• Experience with, or knowledge of, DevOps principles and automation
