ROLE SUMMARY
You will be joining an all-star PM team responsible for our products for real estate owners and developers who work with financial institutions to secure funds and contractors to translate those funds into real estate that produces return on capital for years to come. Owners sit at the intersection of everything we do at Built, collaborating with Lenders (40 of the top 100 banks & $200B+ in construction loans on our platform) and Contractors (+500 construction customers) to translate vision into the physical world around us. This is Built's most important customer and product, and we continue to invest in it heavily.
Reporting to Head of Product, Owner/Contractor, you will be responsible for identifying and delivering market pervasive solutions for products serving owners and developers, and helping them collaborate with lenders, capital providers, contractors, and other vendors in the construction life cycle. In addition to ongoing collaboration during the construction phase, you will investigate Asset and Portfolio Management needs for real estate developers and translate those into a new, zero-to-one product. You'll be paired with a world class engineering and product design team as you deliver on a roadmap. Finally, you will partner with our Go-To-Market teams to bring your products to life, ensuring customers adopt them and love them.
In this role, you will:
- Work tirelessly to listen to and understand our customers – their challenges, problems and pain points – and invent solutions which they may not yet be able to envision for themselves
- Own the roadmap for real estate developers, based on feedback from customers, internal brainstorms and competitor analysis.
- Drive zero-to-one effort to create a new product focused on Asset and Portfolio Management needs for real estate developers.
- Manage execution from your engineering teams, providing high quality PRDs, grooming backlogs and planning sprints.
- Present your plans to leadership. Reason about prioritization and dive into details as needed.
- Be a partner to your engineering, data and design counterparts, providing them details they need to be successful.
- Provide feedback on engineering designs and champion customer needs while driving hard implementation level trade-offs.
- Be a core part of changing how the built world works through innovative products that make it easier, faster and more efficient to build
Who You Are:
- Product Manager with 5+ years of experience in building products in innovative growth stage companies
- Creative problem solver and a relentless prioritizer
- In the details, with strong technical acumen and analytical chops
- Bring proven expertise in zero-to-one product building, from initial customer discovery to product design and delivery
- Experienced in running strong PDLC practices
- Strong cross-functional partner who builds trust through diligence
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Experienced in B2B SaaS product development and sales cycles
- Preferably, you have background in real estate finance, construction or a similar domain
Built’s salary range for this position is $145,000 - $180,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Built's total compensation package for employees.
