Role Overview

Candescent is in a mission to be the leading intelligent omnichannel platform for banks and credit unions of all sizes. The product strategy focuses on creating leading epperiences powered by common planform capabilities. This role will lead the business platforms product group to create leading products across the following areas:
- Authentication, Identity & Fraud
- Money Movement & Payments
- Sales, Product Application & Onboarding
- Account & Customer Servicing
- Marketing & CRM

You will shape strategic direction, roadmap execution, and market delivery, working closely with Product Operations to enable commercial success and delivery excellence. This role will be critical in driving maximum efficiency in product development though reusability and curating an inner-source culture across teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmapping

  • Define strategic direction and multi-year roadmap across the digital platforms domains.
  • Architect platforms that orchestrate the domain, common capabilities that power the solutions, experience widgets & flows enables by APIs that can be used with experiences or headless
  • Each platform should be designed to be integrated into Candescent’s proprietary customer, banker and developer experiences as well as stand alone offering.
  • Prioritize platform features that boost digital adoption, extensibility, security, and cross-sell.

2. Cross-Platform Governance

  • Lead standardized processes for requirements gathering, planning, and product delivery.
  • Create re-usability within and across each platform and the rest of the product group
  • Align development efforts with product ops & agile leadership on tooling, metrics, planning cadence, and OKRs.

3. Go-to-Market & Packaging

  • Collaborate with Product Ops, Sales, Marketing, and Pricing to define packaging, pricing, and positioning.
  • Develop sales enablement materials (features matrix, demos, ROI calculators).
  • Ensure Product remains unfettered from daily sales demands through strong CMO alignment.

4. Product Development & Delivery

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Agile, Security, and Data teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Own success metrics: e.g. adoption, fraud reduction, payment volume/revenue, onboarding conversion.

5. Customer & Market Insight

  • Conduct voice-of-customer research across banks and credit unions and more importantly with end customers; build feature request pipeline.
  • Partner with Analytics and Data teams to access insights on usage, retention, behavior patterns.

6. Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage a team of 40 product managers though 5 direct reports aligned to platform domains; recruit and coach for excellence.
  • Foster a culture of product discipline, customer centricity, and collaboration.

7. Executive Partnership & Chief-of-Staff Support

  • Coordinate town halls, strategic forums, and executive meetings.
  • Support CPO and leadership team with agendas, materials, facilitation, and follow-through.

About You

  • 10+ years in product management leadership, ideally in SaaS, financial services, or digital banking.
  • Experience owning complex, enterprise-grade platforms such as payments, onboarding, authentication, CRM.
  • Comfort in highly regulated spaces—familiar with identity, fraud, KYC, financial compliance.
  • Data-savvy, metrics-driven, experienced with A/B testing, activations, conversions, funnel optimizations.
  • Skilled communicator and presenter—able to align executives, partners, and developers across complex ecosystems.
  • A leader and mentor—passionate about building strong product teams and culture.
