Candescent is seeking a friendly, organized and tech-savvy receptionist to join our team onsite in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our company at our world headquarters, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support for visitors and local staff. This role requires a blend of interpersonal, administrative, and technical skills to ensure smooth operations within our office.

Key Responsibilities:

Reception & Front Desk Management

  • Greet and welcome visitors with a professional, helpful attitude.

  • Manage front desk operations, including answering and directing phone calls as well as alerting local staff members to incoming visitors/deliveries.

  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures, controlling access via reception desk, coordinating with building management as needed, and escorting visitors to interaction points.

Office Management & Administration

  • Operate and troubleshoot AV equipment for meetings and presentations.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and office resources.

  • Oversee office supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships.

  • Facilitate Conference & Experience Center room setup and configuration.

  • Oversee catering requests for Conference & Experience Center meetings

  • Coordinate “hot desk” rooms for visiting executive private space during meetings

  • Manage Equipment checkout and return

  • Orchestrate digital and physical signage updates

Operational & Employee Support

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies.

  • Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and team-building activities.

  • Assist in coordinating company presence at local community events and sponsorships.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and event-related apps.

  • Basic technical skills, including the ability to operate AV equipment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a corporate or professional office environment.

  • Familiarity with office management software and tools.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Likes to work with AI and efficiency hacks for faster/better outcomes.
