Job Description:

Actively participate in technical design and implementation of production ready code, partnering closely with rest of team (Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, QA, SCM, Operations, and Business Partners). Participate in requirements gathering and documentation. Develop software programs for online banking users. Review code developed by other members of the team and collaborate with them to achieve highest standard of code quality. Work with Product, Engineering and User Experience team members to create innovative solutions for the biggest consumer problems. Analyze, design, and develop crosscutting and complex web applications on SOA architecture. Collaborate with engineers to select appropriate design solutions and ensure the compatibility of system components. Perform and coordinate performance analysis and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks to ensure a high performing web applications. Partner in the planning and review of team objectives with Product Managers on a daily basis. Stay up to date with programming languages and frameworks for software application programming. Stay current on browser/platform capabilities. Ensure all deliverables are in compliance with the architectural vision and business requirements. Set and follow core engineering processes around unit testing, code coverage to ensure software code quality. Collaborate with the QA team and UI team to understand the services requirements and create an execution plan. Work in a fast-paced scrum environment. Other duties as assigned. Position may be eligible for full-time telecommuting. Position may be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Job Requirements:

Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related technical field, and four (4) years of software engineering experience.

Experience includes:

  • 2 years of experience in SOA and web- services development;
  • 2 years of Java/J2EE middle tier experience which involves web services and SOA patterns;
  • 3 years of experience with Java stack and build tools (i.e., Maven);
  • 4 years of experience in any Object-Oriented programming language; and
  • 4 years of experience with Data Structures, Algorithms and Database concepts.

OR

Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related technical field, and six (6) years of software engineering experience.

Experience includes:

  • 2 years of experience in SOA and web- services development;
  • 2 years of Java/J2EE middle tier experience which involves web services and SOA patterns;
  • 3 years of experience with Java stack and build tools (i.e., Maven);
  • 6 years of experience in any Object-Oriented programming language; and
  • 6 years of experience with Data Structures, Algorithms and Database concepts.

Any combination of education that has been found by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the academic equivalent of an U.S. degree will be accepted. References required.
