Job Summary
Role Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Corporate Real Estate Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and strategic planning of all corporate facilities across the United States and Canada. This role is critical to ensure our workspaces are safe, efficient, and aligned with our company’s culture and operational needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills to support a high-performing, employee-centric environment. This is a hands- on role with a blend of operational and strategic work and priorities.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
What you will be responsible for and what you will do
- Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Manage day-to-day operations of all office locations, including building systems, janitorial services, office supplies/equipment, security, and space planning.
- Ensure all facilities are maintained to company standards and comply with local regulations and safety requirements.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
- Vendor & Budget Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts for services such as cleaning, HVAC, security, and office supplies.
- Develop and manage facility budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Workplace Experience
- Partner with HR and IT to support employee onboarding/offboarding logistics (e.g., badge access, workstation setup).
- Ensure facilities support a positive employee experience, including ergonomics, amenities, and collaborative spaces.
- Project Management
- Lead office moves, renovations, and space optimization projects across North America.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
- Compliance & Safety
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular updates to leadership on facility status, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of building systems, leases, and service agreements.
- Portfolio & Process Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the real estate portfolio, including lease renewals, space planning, and property maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records and systems for leasing data, vendor contracts, and financial tracking.
- Conduct regular reviews of portfolio performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reporting on real estate performance, portfolio metrics, and project status to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated skills, competencies, and required experiences.
- 10+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and workplace safety standards.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to U.S. and Canadian sites.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
