Job Summary
Candescent is seeking a driven and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in fueling our sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying new opportunities through a multi-channel outreach approach.
This is a territory-based role focused on two core objectives:
Upselling current customers by introducing them to new partnerships, add-on services, and platform upgrades.
Finding net-new opportunities (banks and credit unions across the U.S.) to hand off to our Conversion Team for closing.
As a BDR, you’ll leverage multiple outreach channels—calls, emails, LinkedIn, and direct messaging—to connect with financial institutions and create meaningful conversations that lead to growth. We provide robust training, proven sales tools, and a supportive team environment to set you up for success.
The ideal candidate is hard-working, curious, and thrives in a collaborative culture where learning and professional growth are celebrated.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through proactive outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
Research and build targeted prospect lists within assigned territory.
Educate current customers on Candescent partnerships, integrations, and upgrades that can drive additional value.
Book qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to the Conversion Team.
Track activity, pipeline progress, and key metrics in the CRM.
Collaborate with peers and leaders to continuously refine messaging, outreach strategies, and sales playbooks.
Contribute to a positive, high-energy team culture built on accountability and growth.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
2+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in B2B technology, fintech, or SaaS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable using multiple outreach channels (calls, email, LinkedIn, social DM).
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage time effectively.
Collaborative team player eager to learn and grow.

Preferred Distinctions
Experience in fintech, SaaS, or financial services environments.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding lead generation goals.
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
Ambition to grow into more senior sales or business development roles.
