Software Engineer IV (f/t)

Job Description:

Building reliable, easy to use applications; Analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting software solutions; Assisting the team in ensuring quality and continuous delivery and assisting teams release frequently to production; Analyzing user and business requirements to create technical design requirements and software architecture; Developing and designing mobile applications using Native Android, & React Native using Javascript and/or Typescript; Applying core computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming; Completing large and small scale projects; Researching new technologies, tools, and methodologies; Contributing to technical strategy discussions; and Providing team leadership. The position requires travel domestically and internationally up to zero (0) percent of the time. The position requires supervision of zero (0) employees. The position is eligible for full-time telecommuting and can be performed anywhere in the United States.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science or a related technical field and six (6) years of experience in a software design or development occupation. Experience must include:

  • Six (6) years of experience working with Java, object-oriented design, JavaScript, Git, CSS, HTML, JSON, Android SDK, Agile and Scrum.
  • Six (6) years of experience gathering and analyzing user and business requirements.
  • Six (6) years of experience developing technical design documents and software architecture.
  • Six (6) years of experience performing troubleshooting to determine and document software bugs.

OR

Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science or a related technical field and four (4) years of experience in a software design or development occupation. Experience must include:

  • Four (4) years of experience working with Java, object-oriented design, JavaScript, Git, CSS, HTML, JSON, Android SDK, Agile and Scrum.
  • Four (4) years of experience gathering and analyzing user and business requirements.
  • Four (4) years of experience developing technical design documents and software architecture.
  • Four (4) years of experience performing troubleshooting to determine and document software bugs.

*Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of an U.S. degree will be accepted.
