Job Description:
Coach, mentor, and evaluation teams, and assist them achieve professional growth while meeting organizational needs. Help leadership team execute on its goals to hire and grow the performance of the software engineering teams. Build relationships with partner teams and magnify the software engineering team's ability to solve problems. Lead the team on innovative software development practices, quality, continuous integration and deployment. Understand and implement the organization's tools and policies for people, project and capacity forecasting, planning and tracking. Manage concurrent projects and engineering staff to ensure project timing is maintained. Ensure customer success by delivering quality solutions on schedule and within budget parameters. Allocate resources as necessary to ensure success for all business requirements (cost, timing, quality, etc.). Use strong engineering decisioning to ensure a properly developed solution. Own and improve the engineering methodology used by the team to develop software covering architecture, design, development, test and release. Lead Engineering and QA teams to improve testability of the product and increase test coverage through unit tests, API tests and UI automation tests. Develop, execute, and support test automation frameworks for testing iOS and Android mobile applications; Ensure that a test strategy for each product exists and is kept up to date with technical advances. Ensure automation code is developed for all features and increase automation coverage in the product. Ensure automation code and tests suites are well organized, maintained regularly and are free from dead tests/decaying code. Own the performance results for the product and ensure the product continues to improve and exceed performance baseline requirements. The Engineering manager for a team is expected to be knowledgeable about the product and its configurations as well as the big picture about the platform. Develop and keep the product knowledge repository up to date. Responsible for the deployment process of a product including setting up deployment pipelines. Define and track KPls for the team. Objectively evaluate team performance and develop resources. Mentor developers and testing team members and guide them towards achieving their goals for the organizational and themselves. The position requires travel domestically and internationally up to five (5) percent of the time. The position requires supervision of twenty (20) to thirty (30) employees (SOC: 15-1252: Software Developers, 15-1253.00: Software Quality Assurance and Testers, and 11-3021: Computer and Information Systems Managers). The position is eligible for full-time telecommuting and can be performed anywhere in the US.
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Engineering or a related technical field and ten (10) years of experience in a systems analysis or development occupation. Experience must include:
- Ten (10) years of experience working with object-oriented methodologies, database application design, and
- website development and maintenance.
- Ten (10) years of experience working with developing and testing software applications.
- Ten (10) years of experience working in all stages of Software Development Life Cycles including requirements
- analysis, design, development, and support.
- Ten (10) years of experience working leading and managing teams.

OR
Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent* in Engineering or a related technical field and eight (8) years of experience in a systems analysis and/or development occupation. Experience must include:
