SW Engineering Manager II (f/t)
Job Description:
1. Analyze, design, and develop cross-cutting and complex technical solutions for the enterprise level, application integration patterns.
2. Develop and deliver complex software solutions.
3. Integrate, analyze, and code in Java, Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE), and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies.
4. Develop Web Services (REST/SOAP) technologies.
5. Conduct unit testing using JUnit.
6. Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and development with high volume/concurrent user load services.
7. Perform large-scale software systems design.
8. Follow Agile methodologies across projects to plan, design and implement project deliverables.
9. Provide systems integration with web services and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
10. Conduct software technology evaluations, software architecture and software architecture reviews.
11. Provide technical leadership and guidance to other software engineers.
12. Create design specifications for software projects.
13. Deployment for all the newly implemented services and support and deployment in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
14. Other duties as assigned.
15. Continuously assess individual and team performance and provide timely, constructive feedback relative to both.
16. Work with Product Owners and Clients to understand new requirements and come up with designs to address the requirements.
17. Answer questions from prospective clients about the existing solution and enhancements to address new requirements from prospective clients.
18. Work with teams internally to integrate different facets of the product.
19. Supervise six (6) to twelve (12) employees. The SOC codes for the positions supervised are: 15-1252 – Software Developers; 15-1253 – Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers; 15-1243.01 – Data Warehousing Specialists; and 15-2051 – Data Scientists.
20. The position requires up to 30% of domestic and international travel time.
21. The position is eligible for full-time telecommuting and may be performed from any location in the United States.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field and eight (8) years of experience in software system design, systems integration, software architecture specs, or software coding occupation. Experience must include:
• Eight (8) years of experience utilizing Object-oriented Design principles, Java or Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition technologies, such as Java, Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), or similar;
• Eight (8) years of experience with REST/SOAP technologies using Spring, Hibernate, XML, XSD, JSON, JAXB, XPath, or XQuery;
• Eight (8) years of experience with Agile Methodologies;
• Eight (8) years of experience utilizing continuous integration and open-source technologies like Junit, JMeter, or similar;
• Eight (8) years of experience with Data Driven Decisions (D2D) tools;
• Eight (8) years of experience performing and coordinating performance analysis and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks to ensure a high-performing system;
• Eight (8) years of experience performing code reviews to ensure quality standards;
• Six (6) years of experience using cloud-native services in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Six (6) years of experience working with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data;
• Six (6) years of experience with analyzing financial data, and
• Two (2) years of experience as a team lead mentoring junior software engineers.
*Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service and is found to be equivalent of an U.S. degree will be accepted
OR
