The Pricing & Packaging Analyst plays a critical role in translating pricing strategy into operational reality. You’ll support the maintenance and accuracy of Candescent’s product catalogue, manage SKUs and product codes, and ensure new products and price changes are correctly implemented across our billing systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, data integrity, and the details of how products are configured and monetized. You’ll work closely with Product, Finance, and Engineering to keep our catalogue current, support new launches, and maintain seamless pricing execution in Zuora and Salesforce.
Your work ensures that every product, bundle, and feature can be sold, billed, and reported on with precision.
Primary Responsibilities
Catalogue & SKU Management
Maintain and update the centralized product catalogue, ensuring accuracy across product lines and billing systems.
Create and manage SKUs, product codes, and rate plans that align with approved pricing models.
Track version history and effective dates for all catalogue updates, ensuring clear audit trails.
Partner with Product Ops and Finance to ensure pricing data is consistent across systems (Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite).
Billing System Configuration & Testing
Support setup and testing of pricing plans, usage metrics, and discounts within Zuora.
Collaborate with Finance and Engineering to validate new product configurations end-to-end through the billing cycle.
Monitor for discrepancies or billing errors and assist in resolving them quickly.
Help document and refine operational processes for pricing, billing, and renewals.
Pricing Implementation Support
Translate updates from the Senior Pricing Strategy Manager into actionable configurations in the billing system.
Assist in implementing catalogue changes and preparing internal communications for go-to-market teams.
Support creation of documentation, audit logs, and reports that summarize pricing changes.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to simplify catalogue maintenance and reduce manual effort.
Support automation and reporting improvements within the pricing and billing ecosystem.
Contribute to catalogue governance discussions and maintain operational discipline in daily updates.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in pricing operations, billing, finance systems, or product operations in a SaaS or fintech environment.
Hands-on experience with at least one of: Zuora, Salesforce CPQ, or another billing/configuration platform.
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data (SKUs, product codes, rate plans).
Foundational understanding of how pricing changes flow through Order-to-Cash systems.
Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
Highly organized, curious, and eager to learn the mechanics of pricing and packaging at scale.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
