Job Summary

As the Director of Professional Services Engineering, you'll shape and scale a dynamic team that delivers industry-leading digital banking, account opening and channel service platforms to our clients. We're looking for a proven client facing technical leader who thrives on mentoring talented Solution Architects, Consultant and Engineers. You'll be a driving force behind process innovation—spotting inefficiencies, eliminating bottlenecks, and pioneering changes that transform how we operate. This isn't about maintaining status quo; it's about reimagining what's possible. The ideal candidate brings a track record of client facing technical leadership, helping to drive and grow add-on revenue and team development from a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Top candidates will have the following:

  • A history of working at mid-size, high-growth technology companies, leading and scaling Solution and Implementation engineering teams.

  • Experience managing staff with billable-hour expectations in professional services or managed cloud infrastructure organization.

  • A technical fluency to accurately assess effort, complexity, and resource requirements for cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, database mapping, platform configurations, and technology projects.

  • Ability to make decisions quickly and own them.

  • Open-mindedness to learning and trying new ways of doing things.

  • A communication style that adapts and resonates with both internal team members and our clients.

  • Natural inclination and desire to operate transparently.

  • Ability to set clear expectations for others that allow them to fail quickly and safely.

  • Ability to work through conflict among different technology choices.

  • Entrepreneurial energy, with ambition and strategic vision to transform our Professional Services function from its current four separate business units to one scalable Professional Services team capable of delivering multiple concurrent client projects while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrated skills, competencies, and required experiences:

  • BA/BS degree and 20+ years’ experience in leading Client-facing organizations

  • Must have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in leading a team of Solution Architects, Implementation Engineers, Solution Consultants, and Database Engineers.

  • Must have the experience and drive to create world-class service delivery experiences.

  • Must have experience managing technical individuals that provide proactive service driven by customer requests and gated within service contract limits.

  • Must have experience managing technical individuals that provide IT services, including cloud services such as migrations, cloud software development, and implementations, in the form of projects and other fixed-scope engagements.

  • Must be a leader that accepts challenges and inspires teams to accomplish their goals.

  • Must have the ability to attract and retain high-quality technical, solution consultants, client facing resources.

  • Must be able to juggle complex technical decisions that balance customer requirements and budget, tooling capabilities, and available cloud technologies to exceed our customers’ expectations

Preferred Distinctions

Additional Accomplishments:

  • MBA or executive-level certifications in IT

  • Experience in banking, fintech, SaaS, or high-group technical software or consulting businesses
