Our primary customers are engineers inside Candescent using on-prem and cloud-hosted tools that improve productivity for Candescent’s development community. We experience the impact our work is having, and we take pride in providing services with great availability and ease of use. Candescent’s Enterprise Engineering Tools team provides centralized shared services for enterprise-wide tools - including DevOps CI/CD, Corporate IT, Productivity, Security, and Governance - used across multiple teams. The team is responsible for both the tools and the infrastructure that supports them. Our primary customers are engineers across Candescent who rely on a mix of on-prem and cloud-hosted tools to enhance productivity and streamline development workflows. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are inheriting additional tools that require ongoing support and management.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Work in a fast-paced environment focused on improving and supporting production environments at a regular cadence using Agile techniques.
• Practice continuous learning to keep up with current trends and design patterns in the software world.
• Understand DevOps and Security principles and believe they are essential to success for large scale applications
• Deep understanding and passion for the cloud and supporting tools development
• Understand the value that tools and automation bring to an engineering team's ability to effectively develop and reliably operate high-scale systems.
• Supporting the team from a technical and architectural aspect, by guiding and mentoring others on the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of software development / DevOps / Security / Infra experience.
• Intimate understanding of Security and DevOps principles.
• 10+ years of experience architecting, managing and maintaining CI/CD tools
• 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining development tools
• Experience in cloud technologies, like GCP, AWS, and Azure with at least 3 years of managing production environments and business continuity.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other Software/DevOps engineers.
• Experience of driving organization-wide initiatives for tool and process standardization and consistency.
• 10+ years experience of creating and managing CI/CD pipelines in Groovy and YAML, specifically supporting Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory and Github Actions.
• Experience with Containerized applications in a production environment (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Good understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience working on highly available, high-transaction volume, fault-tolerant systems.
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
