Role Summary
Candescent is transforming digital banking with a modern, AI-powered platform that empowers financial institutions to deliver smarter, faster, and more personalized customer experiences.
We are seeking a talented Principal Engineer - to lead the design, development, and evolution of our Admin platfrom that provides the unified Administration capabilities across One Candescent.
You will drive architectural decisions for Admin platfrom capabiliites , partner integrations & extensibility across our banking platform, ensuring security, scalability, and modern user experiences. This is a technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in identity, integrations and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of Candescent’s Admin Platform to support unified admin experiences across the ecosystem.
Execute Candescent’s vision aligned with product and platform strategy.
Partner with Product and Engineering to design secure, compliant, and scalable offerings.
Lead architecture, design, and implementation of Administartor capabiliites.
Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver seamless, secure experiences
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for financial services
Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in secure identity management
Requirements
Experience:
12+ years in the technology industry, software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java Spring or equivalent backend technologies focusing on platforms, APIs.
5+ years in technical leadership, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design etc.).
Experience designing and implementing Micro-service architecture.
Proven technical leadership and ability to drive architecture and platform decisions
Deep experience designing scalable, distributed systems with high availability and performance
Experience articulating NFRs and architecting the solution to meet them in conjunction with business/product and engineering teams
Technical Skills:
Java, Spring and Cloud development experience .
Deep knowledge of API design principles (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
Familiarity with UI design systems and UI frameworks ex: React Js or Nest Js
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tools, or API lifecycle management (e.g., Postman, Apigee).
Proficient in web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, Python, etc.).
Familiar with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure).
