Job Summary
As the Director of QA & Performance Testing, you will define and lead the organization’s end-to-end Quality Engineering (QE) strategy—spanning functional quality, test automation, and performance engineering—to enable high-confidence, high-velocity delivery of a large-scale SaaS platform. This role is accountable for evolving quality from a phase into a built-in engineering capability, embedding automated validation into CI/CD and ensuring the platform meets reliability, scalability, and customer experience expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute a multi-year Quality Engineering roadmap aligned with product and engineering strategy.
Establish automation-first, shift-left testing practices embedded into CI/CD pipelines.
Build and scale performance and load testing capabilities to ensure platform scalability and resiliency.
Define, track, and report quality and performance metrics to executive stakeholders.
Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and DevOps/SRE leaders to embed quality into the SDLC.
Strengthen Centers of Excellence for automation and performance testing.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Quality Engineering organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in Quality Engineering with progressive leadership responsibility.
Proven success leading automation-first QA transformations in SaaS environments.
Strong understanding of modern cloud-based, API-driven architectures.
Experience defining and operationalizing quality metrics and dashboards.
Deep experience in performance engineering and scalability testing.
Experience leading QA or Performance Centers of Excellence.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
Exposure to AI-augmented or analytics-driven quality practices.
Experience supporting regulated or financial services platforms.
