The Enterprise AI Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and enabling the secure, scalable adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the enterprise. This role establishes AI architecture standards, reference patterns, and governance guardrails while partnering with technology, security, data, and business teams to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Define and maintain enterprise AI architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures
  • Establish approved AI platforms, patterns, and integration approaches across the enterprise
  • Provide architectural oversight and design guidance for AI initiatives from concept through production
  • Participate in and support architecture and AI governance forums (e.g., ARB, AI Working Groups)
  • Evaluate AI tools, platforms, and solutions for architectural fit, risk, and scalability
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, regulatory, and Responsible AI requirements
  • Partner with Security, Legal, Risk, Data, and Engineering teams to assess and mitigate AI risks
  • Define guardrails for model usage, data access, agent autonomy, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls
  • Review and approve AI solution designs, architecture decision records, and technical standards
  • Communicate AI architecture guidance to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or platform architecture
  • 3+ years of experience designing or governing AI, ML, or data‑driven systems
  • Experience working in large‑scale enterprise or regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud‑native architecture
  • Knowledge of security, identity, access management, and compliance concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or agent‑based AI systems
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and governance frameworks
  • Experience with data architecture, APIs, and event‑driven integration patterns
  • Exposure to MLOps, AIOps, or model lifecycle management practices
  • Enterprise architecture or cloud certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure/AWS Architect)
