About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level Instructional Designer to join Candescent's L&D team in Bangalore. You will design and develop engaging learning experiences, e-learning, ILT/VILT, and blended solutions, for employees across our global locations. You will work closely with subject-matter experts, HR Business Partners, and the L&D Manager to translate business needs into effective, high-quality learning content.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the L&D Manager to contribute to the global learning charter, specifically owning the tool and technology perspective, including LMS governance, content standards, and platform best practices.
- Collaborate with the L&D Manager to define and maintain Cornerstone-related processes within the charter, including content lifecycle management, naming conventions, and learner journey architecture.
- Design and develop e-learning modules, ILT/VILT materials, microlearning, and job aids using structured instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM).
- Conduct training needs analyses and translate learning objectives into appropriate content formats and modalities.
- Build courses using Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise) or similar tools; publish and manage SCORM/xAPI content on Cornerstone OnDemand.
- Administer content on Cornerstone, upload courses, configure curricula and learning assignments, and troubleshoot learner access issues.
- Partner with SMEs across geographies to gather content, validate accuracy, and incorporate feedback.
- Use Cornerstone reporting and analytics alongside learner feedback to evaluate content effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in instructional design or e-learning development.
- Hands-on experience with Cornerstone OnDemand, including content uploads, curriculum configuration, learning assignments, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline and/or Rise) or Adobe Captivate.
- Experience publishing SCORM/xAPI content to an LMS.
- Strong storyboarding, scripting, and visual design sensibility with attention to learner UX.
- Comfortable working with global stakeholders and managing SME relationships independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, HR, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to video editing tools (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere) or graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite).
- Familiarity with learning measurement frameworks (Kirkpatrick Model).
- Portfolio of e-learning samples, storyboards, or facilitator guides.
