Candescent is a forward-thinking technology company transforming how financial institutions deliver Intelligent Banking experiences. We unite digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions that power and connect digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions—creating seamless engagement across digital, remote, and in-person channels.
Our Experience-Led, Intelligence-Driven approach combines human-centered design with data, automation, and cloud-based innovation. Built on an API-first architecture, our extensible ecosystem enables institutions to adapt quickly, integrate easily, and unlock new opportunities for growth—turning every customer interaction into a moment of clarity, confidence, and connection.
The Senior Manager, Solution Architecture & Consulting leads and scales a high-performing team of Solution Architects and Solution Consultants responsible for the technical design, configuration guidance, and implementation success of Digital Banking platforms for financial institutions.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, professional services, sales and client leadership — ensuring implementations are scoped and executed with architectural and functional integrity and technical rigor. The leader in this role is equally comfortable setting technical direction with architects as they are navigating executive stakeholder conversations.
The Senior Manager is accountable for technical quality, delivery consistency, team readiness, and client confidence across implementations ranging from single-platform upgrades to large-scale core banking and ecosystem integrations. This is a people-first leadership role that demands strong organizational instincts, clear technical judgment, and the ability to build a team that scales.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead, coach, and develop a blended team of Solution Architects and Solution Consultants supporting concurrent Digital Banking implementations across client tiers.
Establish clear role expectations, career ladders, and performance standards that differentiate architect-level ownership from consultant-level delivery accountability.
Conduct performance reviews, talent calibration, capacity planning, and succession development for both technical and consulting tracks.
Build and sustain a bench of scalable technical leadership capable of independently supporting enterprise and Tier-1 financial institution engagements.
Foster a team culture that values technical excellence, client empathy, continuous learning, and collaborative delivery.
Technical Strategy & Solution Quality
Own solution quality and architectural integrity across all incoming implementations, including:
Platform configuration strategy and environment design
API architecture and third-party integration patterns
Data flow, data mapping, authentication, and security design
Release readiness criteria and deployment support protocols
Establish and govern technical standards, architectural patterns, and best practices used by the team across engagements.
Own requirements definition and documentation, and produce clear, consumable internal and client-facing solution artifacts to drive alignment, reduce ambiguity, and enable consistent delivery execution.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex client issues, cross-platform dependencies, and high-stakes architecture decisions.
Ensure all solutions align to product capabilities, established best practices, and applicable regulatory requirements (FFIEC, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.).
Client Engagement & Executive Partnership
Serve as a trusted technical executive for strategic client relationships, representing solution architecture decisions with confidence and credibility at the C-suite level.
Translate complex technical concepts and architectural tradeoffs into clear, business-relevant language for non-technical stakeholders.
Partner with Client Success, Sales, and Professional Services leadership to ensure smooth pre-to-post-sales handoffs and implementation readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to surface implementation learnings, influence roadmap prioritization, and ensure product-field alignment.
Work with Professional Services leadership to define delivery frameworks, resourcing models, and quality benchmarks that support scalable growth.
Partner with Sales Engineering during complex pursuits to provide architectural credibility and solution design support during pre-sales.
