Candescent is currently searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce & Billing Systems Administrator to support the administration, optimization, and evolution of our Salesforce (Sales Cloud / CPQ) and Zuora Billing platforms. This role is responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements, supporting configuration and reporting needs, assisting with user support, and helping ensure data quality and platform usability across Sales, Service, and related teams.
The ideal candidate is a self-starting, disciplined, and organized professional with experience in Salesforce administration, CPQ architecture, and subscription billing platforms. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment and capable of balancing multiple priorities while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Salesforce (Sales Cloud & Service Cloud)
- Administer and enhance Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ, including configuration of objects, fields, flows, validation rules, and page layouts.
- Design and support CPQ solutions, including product configuration, pricing models, discounting logic, quote templates, and approval processes.
- Partner with Sales Operations to improve quote-to-cash workflows, ensuring alignment between Salesforce CPQ and downstream billing processes.
- Support user adoption through training, documentation, and day-to-day support.
- Maintain data integrity, governance, and platform hygiene across Salesforce.
- Assist with integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including Zuora and other enterprise tools.
Zuora CPQ, Billing and Revenue
- Provide end-to-end monthly bill run support, including usage file uploads, CPI rate updates, and standalone invoice processing.
- Perform Zuora administration tasks, including data management, configuration updates, workflow support, and environment management.
- Support the design and optimization of subscription billing processes within Zuora.
- Maintain and enhance Zuora reporting to support operational visibility and financial accuracy.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across billing operations.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions across Salesforce CPQ and Zuora Billing.
- Support and optimize end-to-end quote-to-cash processes, ensuring seamless integration between quoting, contracting, and billing.
- Participate in testing efforts (functional and UAT) to validate enhancements across both platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues across systems and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of processes, configurations, and changes.
Support & Operations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Salesforce and Zuora user support, tracking and managing requests from business stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment to deliver continuous improvements.
- Pursue ongoing learning, including Zuora and Salesforce certifications, and expand expertise into Revenue and advanced billing capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and/or Zuora Billing administration.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (configuration, pricing, quoting, approvals).
- Strong understanding of subscription billing and quote-to-cash processes.
- Experience supporting or building integrations between Salesforce and billing platforms (Zuora preferred).
- Salesforce and/or Zuora certifications preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Ability to operate independently while contributing to a team environment.
