Job Summary

Role Purpose

Candescent is currently searching for a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level Associate People Business Partner to join our People team. This role provides foundational HR business partnering experience, supporting the delivery of people programs, employee relations, and organizational initiatives in close partnership with senior HR Business Partners and business leaders.

The ideal candidate is an eager learner with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in building a career in HR business partnering within a fast-paced, global organization.


Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

What you will be responsible for and what you will do

• Support North America HR Business Partners in delivering the people strategy for assigned client groups, including performance management, engagement, and talent planning cycles.

• Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers on routine HR questions, policies, and processes, escalating complex issues appropriately.

• Assist with employee relations matters by documenting concerns, conducting basic fact-finding, and partnering with senior HR Business Partners on resolution.

• Help coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for assigned business units, ensuring a smooth employee experience.

• Compile and analyze HR data and metrics, including attrition, headcount, and engagement, to support HR Business Partner recommendations to business leaders.

• Support the administration of compensation cycles, promotions, and job-leveling activities in partnership with Total Rewards.

• Assist in preparing materials for employee surveys, talent reviews, organizational design discussions, and workforce planning meetings.

• Maintain accurate employee records and support compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

• Contribute to the design and rollout of HR programs, communications, and process improvements, including the company intranet and People team communications.

• Build strong working relationships with employees, managers, and cross-functional HR partners, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development.

• Take ownership of small projects or process improvements as assigned, managing timelines and follow-through.


Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrated skills, competencies, and required experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 0-2 years of experience in HR, HR business partnering, or a related people or business support role; internships will be considered.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with Copilot or other AI tools is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret basic HR data and metrics.

• Comfort working both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Genuine interest in building a long-term career in HR business partnering.
