Capitolis is looking for an Operations Director, Structuring and Execution, to support the efforts of our capital marketplace business. This role will be responsible for performing the daily operations function related to our financing business. The Operations Director, Structuring and Execution, is a highly collaborative, cross functional role that will work with internal and external groups (i.e., Clients, business, compliance, product, development, execution, structuring).
The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge of the trade lifecycle of fixed income and equity and derivative markets, enjoy working with complex customer data, and experience collaborating with technology development to build appropriate operational workflows to drive increased customer value. The Operations Director, Structuring and Execution, will report to the VP, Operations.
Responsibilities:
· Support the execution of Commercial Paper / Equities / Fixed Income / Swap trading and efficiency-based activities:
o Trade, position, and cash reconciliation with cash equity agents, fund admin, custody, and trading counterparties.
o Daily cash, margin, and realized P&L reconciliation to assist with cash movement and settlements.
o Ensure proper bookings of corporate action events and dividend payments.
o Coordinate with custody to ensure timely settlement and fails resolution of equity trades.
o Lead documentation of procedures and process improvement.
· Partner with the Head of Operations on efficient management of the trade lifecycle.
· Partner closely with Product and Engineering to develop and test updates to product functionality.
· Collaborate with Execution, Structuring and Sales to offer client support and onboarding on operational processes for the various Capital Marketplace products.
Requirements:
· 10-15 years’ operations experience, ideally in Finance or FinTech industry.
· Strong Equities / Fixed income / swaps / securities lending - middle or back office operational knowledge.
· Strong GL and Trading systems knowledge.
· Project management experience.
· Advanced Excel knowledge.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Positive attitude and willingness to wear lots of hats.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize high volumes of tasks with urgency.
· High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
