We’re financing the future of energy

Crux is the capital platform for the clean economy. We modernize capital raising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure with solutions across advisory, investments, technology, and intelligence.

Our team of 95+ is composed of experts in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology. We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Overture, Ardent Venture Partners, QED, Canapi, and others. These funds are joined by strategic investors including Pattern Energy, Clearway Energy, EDF Renewables, Intersect Power, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.

An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing

Energy demand is growing for the first time in decades, driving an urgent need for more affordable and reliable electricity. More electricity requires new clean energy infrastructure and strong domestic supply chains for minerals and components — as well as large amounts of capital.

Traditional project financing is opaque, fragmented, and analog. At Crux, we’re changing that. Through unmatched insights and expertise, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting, we power a more prosperous, clean, and secure energy future.

We are scaling quickly and looking for team members who are eager to combine deep expertise with an AI- and tech-forward mindset.

The Role

We are seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst with 3-5 years of experience, particularly in working with data, to join our dynamic and growing team. This individual will play a critical role in preparing Crux’s biannual market intelligence reports as well as preparing quarterly reports covering the state of investment in manufacturing supply chains, particularly in the US. This position will support the preparation of materials for our partners and tax credit and debt customers, aiding them in their investment and fundraising efforts.

What You'll Do:

Market Intelligence & Publications:

  • Lead analysis and contribute to the publication of Crux’s quarterly market updates and our biannual market intelligence report, with a concentration on clean energy supply chains, domestic manufacturing, mining, and OEM activity.

  • Translate qualitative and quantitative analysis into clear, actionable written insights.

Supply chain & manufacturing analysis:

  • Analyze clean energy supply chains, including US manufacturing capacity for key components, technologies, and materials.

  • Track critical minerals mining, processing, and refining supply chains, including planned expansion capacity

Database ownership:

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of proprietary databases tracking US manufacturing and supply chain investment.

Partner & customer support:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare customized analyses, materials, and presentations for Crux’s partners, tax credit investors, and debt customers.

  • Provide data-driven insights to support investment decisions and capital raising.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, data analytics, engineering, public policy, or a related field.

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in market analysis, data analysis, consulting, research, or a related role.

  • Demonstrated experience in clean energy manufacturing, industrial, or commodity supply chains, or resource extraction.

  • Exceptionally strong writing skills, with at least 2 years of professional writing experience producing analytical content.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to construct and synthesize third party and owned datasets into clear insights and narratives.

  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and consistency.

  • Proficiency in data tools such as Google Sheets or Excel; experience with Tableau, Metabase, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting technical findings to non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage recurring deliverables (including quarterly publications) in a fast-paced environment.

Why Join Crux?

  • Be part of a mission-driven team working to accelerate climate solutions.

  • Opportunity to work with leading experts and innovators in the climate finance space.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

  • Flexible work arrangements and a supportive, collaborative culture.

Crux is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce. We encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
