Greenlight is the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. We proudly serve more than 6 million parents and kids with our award-winning banking app for families. With Greenlight, parents can automate allowance, manage chores, set flexible spend controls, and invest for their family’s future. Kids and teens learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest.
At Greenlight, we believe every child should have the opportunity to become financially healthy and happy. It’s no small task, and that’s why we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it.

Greenlight's internship is a paid program for current college students. Throughout the internship, you’ll collaborate on thoughtful projects and bring your fresh perspectives to impact our product and families. We encourage you to make your mark here as you grow as a professional, broaden your network, learn new skills and live the Greenlight mission — to empower families to build financial strength, protect what matters most, and stay deeply connected—so they can thrive together in every stage of life.

We’re looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join our Marketing Science team for Summer 2026. This is a hands-on role centered on an end-to-end project: building AI-powered reporting automation for a marketing vertical. You’ll scope, develop, and deliver the solution using Claude to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and improve consistency—then present your results to the team at the end of the summer. Comfort experimenting with AI-driven workflows is essential.

This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Business Analytics.

What you will be doing:

  • Your primary deliverable for the summer will be a reporting automation project.. You’ll scope, build, and ship an AI-powered reporting automation solution covering a marketing vertical, reducing manual effort, improving consistency, and making it faster for the team to get to answers. This is real work that will stay in production after you leave.
  • Claude is your primary tool for this project. You’ll use it to design workflows, generate and review SQL, automate templated outputs, and document your work. Learning to prompt well and trust-but-verify AI output is a core skill you’ll develop this summer.
  • Support day-to-day analytical work across growth marketing, CRM, registration, and website: data pulls, dashboard updates, and ad-hoc queries alongside your main project.
  • Present your project at the end of the summer to the Marketing Science team and stakeholders. Walk through the problem, your approach, what you built, and what it saves.
  • Keep your work documented. Clean write-ups, clear SQL, and documented workflows are a team standard, not an afterthought.

What you should bring:

  • A 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (rising junior or senior preferred).
  • Coursework, class projects, or self-directed work that shows you can write SQL queries and think through a data problem. You don’t need to be an expert. You need to demonstrate real ability and a willingness to learn fast.
  • A proactive mindset. You spot the thing no one asked about. You follow up when a result doesn’t look right. You find work to do rather than waiting for it to find you.
  • When you take on a task, you see it through. You don’t hand back half-finished work and wait for someone else to close it out.
  • You’re comfortable starting from a fuzzy question and working toward a clear answer. Marketing analytics rarely comes with perfectly scoped problems.
  • You can explain what you found and why it matters to someone who didn’t run the analysis.
  • Some experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools for analytical or technical tasks. You know how to prompt, validate output, and not treat the first answer as the final answer.

Learning Opportunities:

  • Own and ship an AI-powered reporting automation project end-to-end, with real output that stays in use after the internship
  • Get hands-on experience using Claude to build workflows, write and review SQL, and automate marketing analytics work
  • Present your work to the team and stakeholders, building experience explaining your approach, impact, and what the solution saves
Who we are:
It takes a special team to aim for a never-been-done-before mission like ours. We’re looking for people who love working together because they know it makes us stronger, people who look to others and ask, “How can I help?” and then “How can we make this even better?” If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and help create a world where every child grows up to be happy and healthy in money and life, apply to join our team.
