Deal Desk Director
Island
Description
We are seeking a Deal Desk Director to lead Island’s Deal Desk function — driving structure, clarity, and speed across our go-to-market motion. This role is central to enabling our Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to execute high-quality deals efficiently while maintaining compliance, scalability, and profitability.
This role is Dallas based and expected to be in the office 5 days a week.
About Island:
Island is redefining enterprise security and productivity with the world’s first Enterprise Browser — giving organizations complete visibility, control, and governance over their most critical work without compromising user experience. Backed by leading investors and scaling rapidly, we’re building something transformative — and every team member plays a direct role in shaping that outcome.
The Opportunity:
You’ll own the end-to-end deal process, from quote configuration to contract execution, and serve as the strategic advisor to sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator who thrives in high-growth, fast-changing environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Scale the Deal Desk Function (2-3 FTE’s): Design, implement, and manage scalable processes that enable deal velocity and accuracy across global regions.
- Partner with Sales Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to structure complex, non-standard deals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue goals.
- Optimize Pricing and Governance: Develop and maintain pricing frameworks, approval matrices, and margin analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Legal, RevOps, and Product teams to streamline deal execution, improve policy adherence, and reduce friction.
- Tools and Process Improvement: Drive automation and system enhancements (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, CLM tools) to improve deal execution speed and visibility.
- Deal Analytics and Insights: Provide deal-level and aggregate analytics to inform executive decision-making, forecast health, and revenue optimization.
- Enablement and Training: Partner with GTM enablement to train sales teams on deal structures, discounting policies, and best practices.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, pricing strategy, and revenue recognition principles.
- Proven success structuring complex commercial deals in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Legal.
- Strong analytical mindset and experience using Salesforce and DealHub
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leadership.
- A passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and making complex things simple.
Why Island:
- Work on a category-defining product transforming enterprise security and productivity.
- Collaborate with visionary leaders and an elite, fast-moving team.
- A culture built on innovation, ownership, and execution.
- Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
