About Middesk

Middesk’s mission is to make it easier for businesses to work together through building the best-in-class business identity platform. Our APIs allow B2B companies to access the information, insights, and documentation they need to onboard and transact with their customers. Our products help product, risk, and finance teams make informed regulatory compliance and commercial credit decisions, confirm that suppliers meet federal and state licensing requirements, and register their customers with the necessary government agencies.

The Role

Middesk has experienced exponential growth in the past two years. We’ve built products customers love — and our success has been driven primarily by strong product market fit, word-of-mouth, and an exceptional reputation.

We’ve rapidly expanded our product suite as a result of this success, and as such, the surface area needed to support it has grown substantially. We’re looking for a systems and process expert to help us scale our internal operations infrastructure gracefully and at a reasonable cost, all while maintaining product quality and performance. That same someone should also be adept at taking things from concept to reality should the need for new products or procedures arise.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to have a huge impact on a product that’s growing and to work in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to chat.

What You'll Do

  • Become an expert in the data that powers our product and everything it takes to keep it high-quality and recent.

  • Build, streamline, and process high-volume workflows to ensure successful client outcomes.

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of industry technology and trends to exceed client expectations around data quality, coverage, and accuracy.

  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Product, and Customer Experience to implement new products, improve existing processes, analyze data, and create multi-team procedures.

  • Partner with Finance to analyze business inefficiencies and propose solutions that effectively consider financial and operational costs and potential benefits to our leadership team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least two years of experience in consulting, finance, strategy, or business operations.

  • Demonstrated ability in designing, scaling, and maintaining high-volume processes, with a focus on software-driven systems.

  • The ability to utilize operational expertise to advise Product and Engineering teams on transforming processes into internal and external products.

  • Experience leveraging data to derive insights, inspire action, and solve problems (bonus points for experience writing SQL and building dashboards to help visualize and interpret data).

  • Comfortable leading teams of vendors or outsourced workers to achieve high-quality productivity goals.

  • Successfully managed unit costs for critical operational and fulfillment processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Nice to Haves:

  • Strong preference for experience at B2B SaaS startups or financial services companies.
