Proof is the world's first identity-assured transaction management platform and we are on a mission to digitize trust for all of life’s most critical transactions. Developed by the same market leaders and experts who brought notarization online with Notarize℠, Proof offers trust in a digital world by verifying identities and securing transactions to protect businesses and their customers. Since 2015, we’ve completed many of the world’s first digital commerce transactions, including the first online real estate closing, online mortgage closing, online auto sale, and online will and we're still just getting started!
Securing our customers’ information and building state of the art fraud detection systems are of the utmost importance. As a Staff Information Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in these objectives. You will design, implement, monitor and maintain the security systems that protect Proof computer systems and data against cyber threats in a highly remote, cloud environment. You will also provide a highly actionable stream of research and analysis to the business around current and emerging techniques used by fraudsters, such as Know Your Customer (KYC) bypasses and means of producing deepfake audio and video.

What you'll do as the Staff Information Security Engineer at Proof:

  • Plan, design, implement, manage, document, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems and networks in a highly remote and cloud-based environment
  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging cybersecurity threats and fraud schemes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams such as Product, Engineering and Legal to implement effective cybersecurity measures and fraud prevention strategies
  • Enhance our threat intelligence program, assisting in the development and maintenance of cybersecurity and fraud detection tools and processes
  • Build on our existing incident response program, responding to security incidents and conducting investigations as needed

What we're looking for:

  • 5-10 years of work experience with incident detection, incident response and forensics, and infrastructure security
  • Deep awareness of cybersecurity and fraud trends
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills, especially in a highly remote environment
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Proof is committed to building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and everyone is encouraged to apply. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We'd love to hear from you.
